Rolling Machine for Gasdiffusion Electrodes

In 2003 the Israeli company More Energy Ltd. commissioned us to construct
a rolling machine for producing gas diffusion electrodes. In the same
year we put this machine into operation.
Before we evaluated together with scientists of More Energy some
electrodes we had rolled on our own rolling system. The following
characterisation showed that the gas diffusion electrodes totally
came up to the Israeli scientists expectations regarding their
quality and capacity.
Thus we gained the order for constructing a rolling machine on
the model of our own system. As this kind of producing electrodes
was all new for More Energy we regularly visited the company in
Israel to attend the set up phase of the machine.
In autumn 2004 the next order followed for two more rolling
machines. As these had to be suitable for serial production
we had to construct a complete new type of machine with a
substantially improved electronic monitoring system and open
loop control. The machine was successfully put into
operation in May 2005.
