ElyFlow Starterkit – Everything you need in one package!
ElyFlow is optimized for electrolyte circulation.
This cell is suitable for all flat materials.
Common sources of error such as IR drop, field line curvature, and boundary effects caused by the sealing are minimized. The Haber-Luggin capillary is drilled laterally at a fixed distance from the working electrode.
Gas supply to the working electrode is possible, making ElyFlow also suitable for measurements on gas diffusion electrodes.

This set includes an additional analyte compartment and the Gaskatel control box ElyControl (24 V, 500 W).
Because only a well-regulated temperature ensures comparable measurement results!
Two separate controlled PID temperature controller may adjust anolyte and catholyte temperature separately.
Two pump controller allow to adjust an electrolyte flow through the cells to remove products like gas bubbles or liquid products.
An internal galvanostat (0 - 5 Ampere) allows simple electrochemical experiments.
Free software GCB to run the experiments and store the datas in a sql database.
A suitable reference electrode with test lead is also included. The Mini-HydroFlex is located in a separate reservoir so that the flow of the streamline is not disturbed.
Besides, two heatable beakers (400 ml) made of PTFE with integrated PTC Heating elements (24 V) are included.

Description ElyFlow
ElyFlow is a test cell optimized for electrolyte circuits for electrochemistry with a three-electrode set-up.
To achieve comparable results, you need a cell design with defined geometric parameters.
ElyFlow is also flexible regarding to the sample (e.g. metal sheet, foils, gas diffusion electrode) – but rigid where it really counts: the distance between the working and counter electrode is fixed and thus defined as well as the distance between the working electrode and reference electrode.
Since ElyFlow is made of PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene), it is chemical resistant.
The plastics have no influence on the field line distribution.
ElyFlow can be used in a pH range of pH 10 to pH 16 by using the inserted nickel counter electrode.
For measurements in an pH range pH -2 to pH 10 you have to use the MMO counter electrode.
The electrolyte volume of the cell itself is only 25 ml.
By using external beakers and pumping systems, measurements with significantly larger electrolyte volumes are possible.

Do you have problems with reaction products from the counter electrode?
Very aggressive ions are often generated at the counter electrode. Even small quantities may lead to corrosion on the working electrode.
Therefore, Gaskatel offers an additional analyte compartment.
One analyte compartment is included in the scope of delivery of our test cell ElyFlow. However, you can implement up to three!
A membrane is inserted between the analyte and counter electrode compartment. This membrane separates anolyte and catholyte. The working electrode is thus protected from the reaction products of the counter electrode.
